MINDFULLY NURTURE YOUR TRUE POWER

Moment by moment, the mind creates your reality. When you learn to understand your mind, you gain the power to curate your thoughts, thus creating a calmer, kinder, more loving and abundant life. This process requires you to do something that many do not realize is an option for them: wake up to your authentic power. Recognize your mind’s habitual labeling of everything as good or bad, right or wrong. Notice how your beliefs and programming prevent you from seeing clearly. By mastering the discipline of focused attention, you can let go of outdated conditioning and wake up to a new you and a new world.

In my Mindfulness classes, you will learn how to choose your thoughts just as you chose the clothes you’re wearing today. Thoughts affect your emotions which in turn oxygenate the thoughts you are offering. Through a series of daily Mindfulness practices centered on mastering the discipline of focused awareness, through discernment,  breath work, meditations, journaling, gratitude, contemplations and learning to pause before acting, you will be empowered to enhance your present moment experience which textures your life. It is my personal commitment to assist you every step of the way on your journey and to personalize the program to meet your immediate needs as well as have my undivided attention and support.

MY JOURNEY

My own past is textured with wounds and healing, lessons and scars, heartbreaking failures and tremendous successes. Born in Germany and raised in the deep South of Alabama, I was 19 when I joined the U.S. Navy and served as a preventive medicine technician at Pearl Harbor on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii for four years. I’ve experienced many roles in my life including being a cocktail waitress and an executive secretary, I’ve thrown parties for tens of thousands, I’ve cleaned toilets for Hyatt International and played a critical role in the revival of downtown Houston as the first Marketing Director overseeing $14 billion in real estate assets.  

El Salvador has been my tropical home for the last 20 years and my masters program in living a balanced bi-cultural and enriched life. My first gurus were my two children, Matt and Sophie, who continue to keep me hopeful that humanity has a chance for balance and harmony. And before them, my husband, Edgar who led me to meditation and the art of living gracefully with humor and kindness for over 30+ years. I’m certified to teach MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), and I have a long-standing personal practice, so I can walk the talk and guide you on your journey.

We all have a choice about how we live, feel, love, and unfold our futures. Being Mindfully Aware offers you new choices, and with choice comes freedom. You will see results in direct proportion to the work you put in. When we begin, I’ll be your biggest fan, your mentor, your coach, your cheerleader, your healer, and your reflection. As we go on, I’ll still be all these things for you, but you’ll be these things for yourself, too.

My client work typically focuses on areas including meaning and purpose, career transition, work/life balance, stress management, well-being, resilience, emotional intelligence, embodied leadership and authenticity.

Enrolling in MindfulBeing Classes is the easiest way to be in a wise relationship with life. Individual Mindful Classes in person or over Skype are confidential and sessions run one hour to an hour and half.
